Film: Ireland, B & W

Our recent trip to Ireland was amazing. Though we had good weather overall, I did encounter the cloudy gray skies I was hoping to miss. They gray is not ideal for my cross-processed color film, so I did compensate by shooting some b & w and a lot of digital. Unfortunately for art’s sake (and fortunately for my Instagram followers!) I also shot a lot on my phone too, due to the “oh-so convenient” factor.
I was really trying to shoot my color film on only sunny days or days when there was patchy blue skies dotted with monsterous white clouds. But most days the weather was a tease, the sun playing tag with the rain, dodging in and out of clouds in a matter of mere seconds making it difficult to decide which film to load. Here are some black & white shots from the area we stayed in called Dingle, or An Daingean in Irish. In County Kerry, it’s the only town on the Dingle Peninsula which sits on the Westernmost coast of Ireland. The last shot is from my Diana of the Blarney Castle. (Yes, I kissed the Blarney Stone!)
